Hi! Welcome to Songcatcher Ranch. We are located in southeastern Oklahoma, in McCurtain county, bordering both Texas and Arkansas. We are near the small town of Valliant, between Hugo and Idabel. We started in the miniature horse business in 2003, and it has grown beyond our expectations. We both teach school and do not have the time to commit to showing at present, but hope to raise show quality horses for others and eventually show ourselves. We have searched far and wide and feel we have put together a very good quality small herd.
Like most people, we planned to buy just two or three as pets, then got hooked. We have found that miniatures can provide all the benefits of horse ownership at far less cost and less physical demand than big horses. Disposition and conformation have been of primary concern in our search for breeding stock. To go along with that, we are concentrating on beautiful pinto patterns.
Our horses bloodlines include some of the finest in the industry. Some of the most famous names in our horses pedigrees include: Bond Peppy Power, Orion Light Vant Huttenest, Gold Melody Boy, Roan Ranger, Sids Rebel, Dels Little Man, Dell Teras Apache, Stouts Mister Pride, Dell Teras Moon Man, Dels Apache, Crescents Mr T, Fishers Leonardo, Goforths Little Pistol, Bond Dynamo, and Bond Showboy, as well as Soats, Little Kings, and Komokos breeding.
